We are seeking a detail-oriented R&D Formulation Executive / Junior Executive to join our team and contribute to new drug product development and process optimization.
Role Summary
In this role, you will execute and manage formulation development for new drug products and optimize existing formulations across various dosage forms (including Oral Solids, Liquids, and Topicals). Your work will span early-stage pre-formulation studies through to technology transfer for commercial-scale manufacturing, strictly adhering to global regulatory standards and cGMP/GLP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulation & Process Development: Design, execute, and evaluate laboratory-scale formulation trials to develop stable, robust, and cost-effective generic products.
- Pre-formulation & Compatibility Studies: Conduct pre-formulation evaluations, including API characterization, polymorphic studies, and excipient-API compatibility testing.
- Quality by Design (QbD): Apply systematic QbD methodologies to establish Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) and Critical Process Parameters (CPPs).
- Scale-up & Technology Transfer: Partner with Analytical R&D, Production, and QA to run scale-up trials, manage pilot bioequivalence (BE) batches, and transfer technology to full-scale manufacturing.
- Stability & Data Evaluation: Design stability protocols, monitor product performance across climatic zones, and troubleshoot out-of-specification or unstable trials.
- Documentation & Compliance: Author and review technical documentation, including Product Development Reports (PDR), Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Master Formula Records (MFR), and Common Technical Document (CTD) regulatory dossiers.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on formulation experience in a registered pharmaceutical R&D facility.
- Fresh Graduates: Ambitious fresh graduates are encouraged to apply! Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory guidelines (USFDA, EMA, MHRA, local authorities) and manufacturing processes such as wet/dry granulation, direct compression, and coating techniques.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, strong data analysis, and cross-functional communication abilities.
