Job Description:

• Prepare ultrasound equipment and exam room ensuring proper sterilization and safety procedures are followed
• Reporting all incidences encountered within the department pertaining ultrasound equipment/ processing failures, M&E problems related to ultrasound room and facilities to Radiology Manager.
• Filing of all incoming and outgoing correspondences.
• Performing ultrasound examination as requested by Medical Officer or Medical Consultant.
• To perform variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative for diagnostic images.
• Review the patient's medical notes and consultant’s request prior to their appointment and have a clear understanding of the images required.
• Use positioning tools and safety equipment properly to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Use ethical judgment and critical thinking skills to perform diagnostic imaging safely.
• Review images before sending to the radiologists/consultants to ensure a clear image of the area requested has been performed and covered.
• To produce ultrasound images of highest quality/standard and of good diagnostic value at minimal cost.
• Maintain proper care of the ultrasound equipment and related accessories for cost effective.
• Responsible towards the safety and proper care of patients while undergoing ultrasound examination.
• Maintain the room with adequate supplies/consumables and room temperature/relative humidity as recommend.
• To perform scans as planned from the desired or specific body region and protocol.
• To perform daily warm-up and calibration tests on equipment.
• To inspect daily the laser printer for smooth running function.
• Perform accurate ultrasound tests of a particular area of the body, based on a physician's order.
• Analysis the test result from the ultrasound equipment. Calculations and measurements of the images are performed and presented to the consultant for a diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
• Organize and perform ultrasound examination, document high quality images and practice good patient care.
• Works with radiologists in special procedure in ultrasound.
• Use independent judgment in recognizing the need to extend the scope of procedure according to diagnostic findings.
• Alert and aware of any breakdown, analyze technical information due to error in ultrasound equipment and inform superior and biomedical engineer.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasonography
• Fresh Graduate / 1-2 Years’ Experience
• Good interpersonal skill.
• Proficiency with computer software commonly used for documentation and sonographic report presentation
• Communicating and Influencing skill
• Good team player
• Computer literate, excellent in oral and written skill.
• Hard working and committed.
• Accountability and attention to detail when handling and documenting important medical information.
• A friendly and professional demeanour when explaining procedures and processes to patients.
• Physical endurance and the ability to work primarily in a standing position
• Fast learner and able to work under pressure.
• Well versed in Anatomy and physiology.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
