Senior Network Engineer

Location: Klang Valley, Malaysia
Experience: 5+ years

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support and manage enterprise network and data center infrastructure for a major organization in the Klang Valley.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in enterprise routing and switching, network security, and data center networking, with particular exposure to spine-leaf architecture and network fabric technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Manage switching technologies including VLANs, STP, trunking, and link aggregation.
• Configure and troubleshoot network firewalls, VPNs, NAT, security policies, and security zones.
• Design, implement, and support data center spine-leaf network architecture.
• Work with network fabric technologies and platforms such as VXLAN/EVPN, Cisco ACI, Arista, or similar technologies.
• Perform complex network troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability and proactively address potential issues.
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes with minimal disruption.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, configurations, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, systems, and application teams on network-related projects.
• Take ownership of incidents and technical issues through to resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
• Strong practical knowledge of routing, switching, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP; EIGRP knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of VLANs, STP, trunking, and link aggregation.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and security policies.
• Hands-on experience with data center networking, particularly spine-leaf architecture or network fabric environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification is an advantage.
• Experience with VXLAN/EVPN, Cisco ACI, Arista, or similar data center technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or Ansible for network automation is a plus.
• Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability environments is an advantage.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

• Strong technically and hands-on.

• Able to take ownership and work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with cross-functional technical teams.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
