What you'll do

Summary Role

• Drive improvements for current processes in running production.
• Be involved and support improvements in programs from VBE to TT.
• Drive improvements in program from TT and onwards.
• Responsible for Shop Engineering targets within time/technique/cost.
• Secure Balance process for product changes according to above responsibility split within area of responsible
• Secure early involvement in the Process Design in product and non-product projects.
• Define shop vision layout within area of responsibility (e.g. pre-trim, trim, underbody etc.).
• Secure improvements in shop KPI’s in early projects phases.

Main Tasks

• Participate in the problem-solving process, when expert competence is needed.
• Perform second line analysis in relation to process.
• Act as the interface between the Production department and Plant Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering. Secure manning target within area of responsibility in cooperation with Process technician and update manning follow up system.
• Secure launch process for product changes within area of responsible and deliver to Project Manager.
• Lead non-product spending small projects in shop.
• Follow up and start actions on deviations on Shop Engineering related targets, scorecard and masterplan or project targets.
• Responsible for following of standard processes, methods and tools within Shop Engineering.
• Visualizing KPI’s for current process, calculate KPIs for vision and visualize the gap towards ideal state.
• Early involvement in pre-studies, product and non-product programs to assure efficient integration into the current process.
• Participate in detailed process design with focus on efficiency, flow and shop KPI targets.
• Secure plant participation in FMEA’s.
• Investigate CIR requests based on request from PBO.
• Follow up and start actions on deviations on related targets in early phases.
• Define shop/area vision layout and update for status BOP shop/area layout.
• Secure motivations for shop/area investment and forecast related to plant vision and efficiency.
• Challenge & justify request (facts and figures) for wanted process improvement related investments.
• Give input to with 1 + 4 year plant technical masterplan.
• Secure non-product projects in shop until IR is approved.
• Collect and feed high hurts.
• Secure capacity restraints overview on shop level for 1 + 4 year.
• Calculate manning forecasts in front of yearly business plan.
• Share competence and knowledge within own shop engineering departments and across the plant.

Competence & Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the engineering area or similar competence acquired through proven experience.
• Skills and experience from Project Management and its tools.
• Experience from different areas in plants or other functions in the company
• Fluent in English.
• Result oriented and analytical.
• Strong drive to cooperate cross functionally.
