About the Role
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented and proactive Planning Executive to join our Planning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination and shipment allocation to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
You will work closely with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement and other cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met while optimizing plant capacity and resources.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate production activities based on customer orders, demand and delivery requirements.
Develop, maintain and monitor production schedules according to plant capacity, production lead time and cycle times.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials and other production requirements.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules accordingly to meet delivery commitments.
Allocate finished products for shipment based on sales demand and customer requirements.
Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) in the BAAN system in accordance with approved change control procedures.
Liaise with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement and other internal departments to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Identify potential planning issues and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
Ensure all planning activities comply with company policies, procedures, quality requirements and safety regulations.
Participate in Lean, continuous improvement and productivity improvement initiatives.
Support risk assessment, mitigation and contingency planning activities.
Prepare and maintain relevant planning reports and records.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Planning Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in production planning, production scheduling, supply chain or a related manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in production planning and scheduling is preferred.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is required; BAAN experience will be an advantage.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and manage planning data.
Good analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
