Role Description The Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia, responsible for managing and growing customer accounts in the metal recycling and international scrap trade sector. Day-to-day activities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and managing sales pipelines from lead generation to deal closure. The role involves preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and coordinating with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. The Account Executive monitors market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform sales strategies and support sustainable trade practices. This position also requires maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, preparing regular performance reports, and representing the company professionally in meetings, calls, and industry events.

Qualifications

• Strong sales, account management, and business development skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships and close deals.
• Knowledge of international trade, logistics coordination, and basic export/import documentation, ideally within metals, recycling, or industrial commodities.
• Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and presentation, including the ability to explain technical or commercial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Solid analytical and organizational skills, with experience using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems to manage pipelines and track performance.
• Understanding of compliance, quality assurance, and sustainable supply chain principles, with attention to ethical and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or other regional languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Selangor, travel locally or internationally when required, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Prior experience in scrap trading, recycling, metals, or manufacturing sectors is highly beneficial.
