Responsible for supporting and improving CNC machining production processes to achieve production targets, quality requirements, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. The role involves production planning support, process improvement, machine utilization, cycle time optimization, troubleshooting, and coordination with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC Production & Process Management

Monitor daily CNC production performance, output, cycle time, machine utilization, and production efficiency.

• o Ensure production processes are carried out according to approved work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• o Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks to improve machine and manpower utilization.
• o Support production planning and ensure production targets are achieved according to schedule.
• o Monitor machine loading and optimize production flow.

2. Cycle Time& Productivity Improvement

• o Conduct cycle time studies and identify opportunities to reduce machining time.
• o Improve CNC machine productivity through process optimization, tooling improvement, and machine parameter optimization.
• o Analyze actual vs. standard cycle time and investigate significant variances.
• o Develop and implement productivity improvement projects.
• o Improve OEE, machine utilization, throughput, and overall production efficiency.

3. CNC Process & Tooling

• o Review and optimize CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, cutting conditions, and machining parameters.
• o Work with CNC Programmers/ Machinists to improve machining processes.
• o Support tool-life monitoring and establish appropriate tool replacement / tool-life control standards.
• o Troubleshoot machining problems such as dimensional variation, burrs, surface finish issues, tool breakage, and machine abnormalities.
• o Evaluate and recommend new cutting tools, fixtures, and machining methods.

4. Production Problem Solving

• o Lead or participate in root-cause analysis for production issues.
• o Use problem-solving methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone, 5M1E, Pareto Analysis, and PDCA.
• o Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring production problems.
• o Support investigation of machine downtime, tooling issues, quality problems, and production delays.

5. Quality & Process Control

• o Work closely with Quality Engineers/ Inspectors to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• o Support process capability improvement and reduction of defects, scrap, and rework.
• o Establish and maintain process standards and control parameters.
• o Assist in investigating customer complaints and internal quality issues related to CNC processes.

6. Production Data & Performance Monitoringo Prepare and analyze daily/ weekly /monthly production reports.

o Monitor key production KPls such as:

• Production Output
• Cycle Time
• OEE
• Machine Utilization
• Productivity
• Scrap / Rejection Rate
• Tool Consumption
• Downtime
• On-Time Delivery
• Use production data to identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to management.

7. New Product / New Process Introduction

• o Support new product introduction (NPI) and new CNC process development.
• o Assist with process flow, tooling, fixture, machine selection, and capacity evaluation.
• o Conduct trial runs and process validation before mass production.
• o Develop and update process documentation and work instructions.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination

• o Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, CNC Programming, Planning, and Purchasing teams.
• o Coordinate with suppliers for tooling, fixtures, and machining-related technical issues.
• o Provide technical support and training to production operators and technicians when required.

9. Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,999.00 per month
