QA Engineer (Plastic Injection Moulding) – Core Responsibilities with Improvement Activities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans for plastic injection moulding processes.
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, and dimensional variations.
- Monitor and analyse quality KPIs, including reject rate, scrap rate, customer complaints, and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
- Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, Tooling, and Maintenance teams to improve process stability and product quality.
- Review and approve first article inspections (FAI), first-off samples, and production start-up validations.
- Support process validation, mould qualification, and production trials for new products and engineering changes.
- Support internal quality audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if automotive), customer-specific requirements, and company quality standards.
- Utilize quality improvement tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and Control Plans.
- Monitor statistical process control (SPC) data and recommend process improvements to maintain consistent product quality.
- Prepare quality reports and present improvement plans during management and customer review meetings.
- Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and measurement systems are maintained according to standards.
- Train production operators and inspectors on quality standards, inspection methods, defect recognition, and quality awareness.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and PAKAR projects to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
- Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement sustainable improvement actions.

- Enhance process capability (Cp/Cpk) by reducing variation.
- Increase customer satisfaction by reducing complaints and returns.

- Drive cost reduction by minimizing rework, scrap, and production downtime.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
