Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair split units, cassette units, VRF/VRV systems, package units, central air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal HVAC system performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Perform refrigerant leak detection, pressure testing, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning in accordance with industry standards.
- Clean, repair, and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, coils, motors, fans, filters, thermostats, and other HVAC components.
- Monitor and maintain ventilation, exhaust, and fresh air systems to ensure proper indoor air quality.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide technical support to minimize operational disruption.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, inspection checklists, and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for major repairs, servicing, equipment installation, and warranty claims when required.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and HSE procedures, including the safe handling of refrigerants and hazardous materials.
- Recommend energy-saving initiatives, equipment upgrades, and preventive maintenance improvements to enhance HVAC system efficiency and reliability.
- Perform other technical maintenance duties and ad-hoc assignments as assigned by Management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Technical/Vocational qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, control systems, and HVAC preventive maintenance.
- Experience servicing commercial, industrial, or mining facilities is an added advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling and environmental regulations.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and willing to travel to project sites and work in outdoor or industrial environments.
- Able to work independently and under minimum supervision.
- Possess a valid driving licence (preferred).
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
