Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical design and R&D projects from concept through prototype development and production.
• Develop 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for new and existing products.
• Translate concepts, sketches, and project requirements into detailed mechanical designs.
• Design mechanical components, assemblies, structures, and products according to project requirements.
• Conduct design modifications and improvements to enhance product functionality, durability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical documentation.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for product development.
• Perform engineering calculations and basic design analysis where required.
• Develop and coordinate prototype fabrication and testing.
• Evaluate prototype performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Troubleshoot design, fabrication, and product-related technical issues.
• Research new technologies, materials, components, and manufacturing methods.
• Ensure proper control and documentation of design revisions and engineering changes.
• Perform other R&D and engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, R&D, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD design software.
• Able to produce accurate and detailed mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to be hands-on and work closely with fabrication and production teams.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,200.00 per month

Work Location: In person
