Key Responsibilities

• Detailed Material Take-offs: Conduct highly precise, granular take-offs from electrical drawings to calculate exact quantities for conduits, trunking, cables, lighting fixtures, and ELV systems.
• Tendering & Bidding: Prepare competitive commercial bids. Formulate precise unit rates by closely analysing raw material costs, supplier quotes, and internal labour productivities.
• Variation Management (Crucial): Identify, document, and price on-site variations, deviations, and site instructions immediately. Formally submit variations to ensure all extra works are paid.
• Progress Claim Submission: Prepare and submit monthly progress claims based on actual site installation progress. Defend against unjust claim deductions or under-valuations.
• Procurement & Vendor Management: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with electrical manufacturers and wholesalers. Draft and issue purchase orders.
• Cost Tracking & Budget Control: Perform continuous project cost-control tracking (Material vs. Labor budgets). Monitor ongoing material wastage, labour hours, and delivery delays to prevent margin erosion.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Experience: Experience in construction related industries / Have at least 1 year of practical working experience in three-phase electrical wiring with a registered electrical contractor (Hold a PW4 certificate)
• Drawings & Technical Literacy: Ability to read complex electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), shop drawings, and combined services drawings (CSD) to spot design gaps early.
• Software Competency: High proficiency in measurement software (e.g., AutoCAD) and advanced Microsoft Excel for complex rate breakdowns.
• Key Traits: Commercial alertness, sharp negotiation skills, and a firm approach when defending claims against demanding clients / main contractor representatives.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
