Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer to manage, maintain, and support enterprise database environments within our Service Build Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and Sybase, along with solid SQL and Unix/Linux skills. The role involves database administration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, high availability, and post-build production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and Sybase database environments.
• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot database issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database performance.
• Manage backup, recovery, and database maintenance activities.
• Support High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and database resilience initiatives.
• Perform database changes in accordance with change management and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve database-related issues.
• Support post-build activities, deployments, and production database operations.
• Maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

6–9 years of experience in Database Administration / Database Engineering

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB

Experience with Sybase databases

Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning

Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments

Experience in database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations

Good understanding of backup & recovery, HA, DR, and production support

Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills

Ability to work effectively with application, infrastructure, and support teams
