Weekend Speech Therapist – Locum / Part-Time

Location: Aman Suria, Petaling Jaya

Working arrangement: Locum / Part-time / Collaboration basis
Availability required: Weekends

VeeSpeech Therapy Centre is a child-centred therapy centre providing paediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, and related developmental support services.

We are currently looking for a Speech Therapist to join us on weekends under a flexible locum or part-time arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, communication, and feeding assessments where relevant.
• Provide individualised intervention for paediatric clients with speech, language, communication, social communication, and feeding difficulties.
• Develop therapy plans based on each child’s needs and functional goals.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child’s progress and therapy recommendations.
• Provide practical home strategies to support carryover outside therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including session notes and progress updates.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists and other professionals when required.
• Practise within professional, ethical, and clinical guidelines.

Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in Speech-Language Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Sciences, or an equivalent field.
• Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Able to conduct therapy sessions independently and professionally.
• Good communication skills with children, parents, and team members.
• Responsible, punctual, and committed to ethical clinical practice.
• Able to work on weekends.
