Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support our finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support for our structural steel engineering projects, including design, fabrication, supply and installation activities.
This role is suitable for someone who is organised, comfortable working with numbers, and able to manage accounting records in a fast-paced engineering and project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, payment requests, receipts and other financial documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, delivery orders and project-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, expenses, invoices and supporting documents.
- Assist with data entry and reconciliation of accounting records, supplier statements and bank transactions.
- Support the preparation and processing of payments to suppliers, subcontractors and service providers.
- Assist in monitoring project-related expenses, purchases and costs for structural steel fabrication, materials and installation works.
- Coordinate with the project, procurement and administrative teams to ensure proper documentation for accounting purposes.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices, payments and supporting documents when required.
- Assist with monthly closing activities and preparation of basic financial reports and schedules.
- Maintain proper filing and organisation of accounting and project-related records.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team and assist with other ad-hoc accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable and basic accounting procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Organised, responsible and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate with project, procurement and finance teams.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, manufacturing or structural steel industry will be an advantage.

Pay: $2,600.00 - $3,200.00 per month
