Project Documentation & BOQ Coordinator – Telecom / Utility Infrastructure
We are looking for an experienced Project Documentation & BOQ Coordinator with a strong background in telecommunications / fibre infrastructure.
This role combines technical documentation, AutoCAD drafting, BOQ preparation, costing, technical proposals, project coordination, claims and invoicing.
The successful candidate must be able to understand a technical scope and convert it into drawings, quantities, pricing, BOQ and proper client submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project technical documentation and client submissions.
- Study client specifications, drawings, scope of works and project requirements.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take-offs.
- Convert technical requirements and proposals into quantities, costing, rates and selling prices.
- Prepare quotations, cost breakdowns and commercial submissions.
- Prepare technical proposals, supporting documents and project presentations where required.
- Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawings, route drawings, layouts and as-built drawings.
- Understand fibre optic / telecommunications infrastructure including OSP, underground ducting, chambers, HDD and associated civil works.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and internal departments.
- Track project progress, completed quantities and outstanding works.
- Verify site measurements and completed quantities against BOQ.
- Prepare progress claims, variation claims and final claims.
- Compile supporting documentation for claims including drawings, photographs, measurements and completion records.
- Coordinate preparation and tracking of client invoices and progressive billing.
- Monitor PO value, claimed value, certified value, invoiced value and remaining balance.
- Identify completed but unbilled works and ensure claims are submitted promptly.
- Review subcontractor quotations and claims against actual work completed.
- Maintain proper project records including PO, BOQ, drawings, quotations, claims, invoices and correspondence.
- Follow up client approvals, submissions, outstanding documentation and project close-out.
- Prepare regular project status and outstanding-action reports for management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related technical field preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications / fibre / utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and estimation.
- Able to prepare technical proposals and convert technical scope into pricing.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiar with project claims, progressive claims, invoicing and supporting documentation.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills for BOQ, costing and project tracking.
- Good project coordination and documentation skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Able to manage multiple projects and submissions simultaneously.
- Willing to visit project sites when required.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with previous experience working on projects involving:
Telecommunications / Fibre OSP / Underground Fibre / Utility Infrastructure / HDD / Civil Works
will have a strong advantage.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
