Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, including a one-hour lunch break
Salary: RM2,800–RM3,000 per month with added cash incentives
Weekend Requirement: Weekend work is required when assigned to confirmed events. This is based on event bookings and does not mean every weekend. [Weekend compensation/replacement leave arrangement to be confirmed.]
Role Purpose
The Event Operations Executive is responsible for turning confirmed ATAG Malaysia programmes into well-prepared and professionally executed events.
Working from the point of Sales-to-Operations handover, the role coordinates event preparation, equipment and materials, event-day operations and post-event requirements.
On event days, the Event Operations Executive plays an active on-ground role and may serve as the floor manager, ensuring the programme runs according to plan while responding calmly and effectively to operational changes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Event Planning & Preparation
- Receive and review confirmed event requirements from the Sales team.
- Understand the event objectives, programme flow, participant numbers, venue requirements and operational needs.
- Develop and maintain event preparation checklists and timelines.
- Prepare required event materials, equipment, game items and operational documents.
- Pack and organise equipment systematically before deployment.
- Coordinate internally to ensure event requirements are ready before the event date.
- Anticipate potential operational issues and prepare practical solutions or contingency plans.
- Contribute creative ideas to improve event execution and participant experience.
2. Event-Day Operations
- Support event set-up, equipment movement and preparation before participant arrival.
- Act as an on-ground operations representative and, where assigned, event floor manager.
- Coordinate event flow with trainers, facilitators, marshals and other team members.
- Ensure activities, equipment and operational requirements are ready according to the event schedule.
- Monitor timing and programme movement throughout the event.
- Respond calmly and quickly to unexpected changes or operational issues.
- Support participant movement, activity transitions and event logistics where required.
- Maintain ATAG's expected standard of professionalism when interacting with clients and participants.
- Support dismantling, packing and return of equipment following events.
3. Equipment & Logistics
- Prepare, pack, transport and account for event equipment and materials.
- Safely handle and move event equipment weighing approximately 10kg as part of normal event preparation, set-up and breakdown.
- Check equipment before and after events and report damaged or missing items.
- Maintain organised event equipment and packing systems.
4. Post-Event Operations
- Ensure equipment and materials are returned, checked and properly stored.
- Complete required post-event operational documentation.
- Record operational issues, improvements and lessons from completed events.
- Support follow-up requirements relating to event delivery where necessary.
- Recommend improvements to future event execution based on on-ground experience.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Formal event-industry experience is not mandatory.
Applications may be considered from:
- Fresh graduates;
- Candidates with experience in events, operations, hospitality, customer experience or related fields;
- Experienced event crew seeking a full-time event operations career; or
- Candidates from other industries who demonstrate strong operational capability.

- Available for weekend events when scheduled in advance according to confirmed bookings.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
- Creativity and imagination when approaching event challenges and participant experiences.
Preferred / Trainable Competencies
Previous experience in the following areas is advantageous but not essential:
- Corporate events;
- Team-building programmes;
- Event logistics;
- Hospitality;
- Event crew or floor management;
- Facilitating activities or speaking to groups;
- Equipment and inventory management.
ATAG may provide training to develop the right candidate's technical event-management and facilitation capabilities.
Performance ExpectationsFirst 3 Months
The employee should:
- Understand ATAG's event preparation and operating processes.
- Become familiar with core equipment, activities and programme formats.
- Demonstrate reliable preparation and packing practices.
- Support event-day operations confidently under guidance.
- Build strong working relationships with the Operations, Sales and Trainer teams.
- Demonstrate punctuality, accountability and clear communication.
By 6 Months
The employee should:
- Independently prepare assigned events with appropriate supervision/checking.
- Identify operational risks before events and propose practical solutions.
- Coordinate sections of event-day operations confidently.
- Demonstrate strong equipment and logistics management.
- Handle normal event-day changes calmly without requiring constant direction.
- Consistently deliver work according to agreed preparation deadlines.
By 12 Months
The employee should:
- Manage the operational preparation and execution of assigned events from handover through completion.
- Confidently serve as an event floor manager where appropriate.
- Support increasingly complex or larger-scale programmes.
- Contribute improvements to ATAG's event systems, equipment or operational processes.
- Demonstrate readiness for greater event ownership or a chosen development pathway.

Event Operations & Management
Develop deeper expertise in event planning, execution and operational leadership, progressing towards Event Specialist, senior operational responsibilities and eventually Head of Operations or other management opportunities.
Training & Facilitation
Employees demonstrating strong communication, facilitation and leadership potential may develop towards becoming an ATAG trainer, with opportunities to build professional training capabilities and potentially pursue HRD Corp trainer certification.
Career progression is dependent on demonstrated capability, performance and available organisational opportunities.

Salary: RM2,800–RM3,000 per month with added cash incentives

Working Environment
This is an on-site and highly hands-on role.
Although normal working hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, ATAG's events may take place on weekends. Employees assigned to these programmes must be available according to confirmed event bookings.
The position involves a combination of office planning, event preparation, packing, physical equipment handling and on-site event execution.
