Job Purpose
To oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental practices to ensure a safe workplace, particularly in crane manufacturing, lifting operations, and project site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE policies in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (DOSH, OSHA).
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments (HIRARC).
- Monitor safety compliance for factory and site operations, including lifting activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
- Organize safety training, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation (SOP, Method Statement, Lifting Plan, etc.).
- Ensure emergency preparedness and response procedures are in place.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and authorities on HSE matters.
- Support ISO audits and maintain proper safety records and reports.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of HSE experience (manufacturing / construction preferred).
- Knowledge of DOSH regulations and OSHA 1994.
- Experience in lifting operations / heavy equipment safety is an advantage.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Competent person certification (e.g. Yellow Book) is an added advantage.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
