Job Description – NOC / Monitoring Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a NOC / Monitoring Engineer to monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and applications. The candidate will be responsible for proactive monitoring, incident detection, troubleshooting, and escalation using monitoring tools such as Nagios and Zabbix.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, network devices, applications, and IT infrastructure using Nagios and Zabbix.
• Monitor system availability, performance, CPU, memory, disk utilization, network traffic, and service status.
• Identify and respond to alerts, incidents, and system abnormalities in a timely manner.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and resolve L1/L2 infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Escalate unresolved or critical incidents to the relevant technical teams.
• Create, configure, and maintain monitoring checks, alerts, thresholds, and dashboards.
• Monitor network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other infrastructure components.
• Perform daily health checks and ensure critical systems are operating within defined parameters.
• Analyze monitoring logs and alerts to identify recurring issues and potential problems.
• Follow incident, change, and escalation procedures according to SLA requirements.
• Maintain accurate incident records and prepare daily/weekly monitoring reports.
• Coordinate with System, Network, Security, and Application teams during major incidents.
• Participate in shift operations, including 24x7 monitoring and rotational shift

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
