Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Category Internship to manage assigned product categories, drive sales performance, and support product launches. This role plays a key part in optimizing assortment, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring smooth collaboration across retail and marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Category Management: Manage assigned product categories to achieve sales, profit, and inventory targets.
• Product Launch & Promotions: Plan and execute product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns across retail channels.
• Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance, sell-through rates, and stock levels; identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assortment Optimization: Review and optimize product assortment and SKU mix to maximize category performance.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to support strategic business decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Retail, Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
• Reporting & Insights: Prepare regular sales reports and provide actionable insights to management.

Job Requirements

• Final-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Strong interest in brand marketing, digital campaigns, and consumer electronics.
• Good communication skills in English (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, or video editing tools is a plus.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and ability to express ideas visually and verbally.
• Proactive, responsible, and a strong team player.
• Prior experience in content creation, social media, or marketing projects is an added advantage.
