Client Background:

They are looking for candidates who are genuinely interested in building a long term career in audit and professional services. As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will lead audit engagements, guide junior team members, and work closely with clients to deliver quality audit and assurance services.

Location: Sri Petaling, KL

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strong understanding of clients’ business models, industry landscape, and key risk areas, providing valuable insights to management and clients.
• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements in accordance with approved standards and timelines.
• Supervise, review, and guide audit seniors and associates to ensure quality and efficiency of work performed.
• Manage client relationships, liaise with key stakeholders, and resolve audit issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and reports to ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Oversee multiple engagements concurrently, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ad-hoc assignments when required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in a professional firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, MPERS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Proven ability to lead audit engagements independently.
• People management experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
