About the Role

Halton Malaysia is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive business growth within our Food Processing and Central Kitchen segment.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new project opportunities, securing specifications, preparing technical proposals, and delivering sales results. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, kitchen operators, food manufacturers, and end-users to promote Halton's industry-leading ventilation and environmental control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Develop and expand Halton's Food Processing and Central Kitchen business in Malaysia.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities within food manufacturing facilities, central kitchens, catering operations, commissary kitchens, and institutional kitchens.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
• Manage and grow a healthy project pipeline to achieve sales targets.

Technical Sales & Project Support

• Promote Halton's ventilation, filtration, air management, and environmental control solutions.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer workshops.
• Support customers during project design, specification, tender, and implementation stages.
• Work with consultants and project stakeholders to secure Halton specifications.

Quotation & Tender Management

• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Follow up on negotiations, project approvals, and tender clarifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive commercial solutions.

Customer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and projects.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Strengthen long-term relationships across the food processing and commercial kitchen industries.

Market Intelligence

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects.
• Maintain accurate sales opportunities and project information within CRM.
• Support industry exhibitions, seminars, and marketing initiatives.

What We're Looking ForQualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or technical sales.
• Experience within HVAC, ACMV, food processing, industrial ventilation, commercial kitchen, MEP, or construction industries is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong customer relationship and networking abilities.
• Technical problem-solving and solution-selling mindset.
• Proposal, quotation, and tender preparation experience.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia.
