Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities: identify and assess suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and secure reliable supply sources.
Manage purchase orders in line with inventory needs, sales forecasts, and production schedules.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all purchases and deliveries.
Draft, review, and finalize procurement contracts, supply agreements, and related documentation.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with pricing, quality, delivery, and service standards.
Liaise directly with local and China‑based suppliers on pricing, specifications, order volumes, production progress, shipment schedules, and quality issues.
Collaborate with warehouse, sales, production, finance, and operations teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
Conduct market research, price benchmarking, and cost analysis to identify savings opportunities.
Drive cost‑reduction and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.
Build and sustain long‑term strategic supplier relationships.
Perform supplier evaluations, reviews, and risk assessments to ensure continuity and sustainability.
Identify procurement and supply chain risks and implement mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, approval procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee purchase costs, supplier payments, and documentation in coordination with Finance.
Prepare procurement reports, spend analyses, supplier performance reviews, and KPIs for management.
Provide guidance, training, and supervision to junior procurement staff where applicable.
Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchase orders, contracts, supplier data, and procurement documentation.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or related industries.
Proficiency in Mandarin is required, as the position involves regular communication, coordination and negotiation with China-based suppliers.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and supplier-management skills.
