Our client, a well-established food manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee the financial management and performance of its manufacturing plant.

The role will partner closely with Plant Operations and business leadership to drive financial performance, cost efficiency and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee plant financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting.

* Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, production variances, labour costs, overheads and inventory.

* Drive cost control and cost improvement initiatives to improve plant profitability and operational efficiency.

* Partner with Plant Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement teams to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities.

* Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and standard costs, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

* Oversee inventory control and valuation covering raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.

* Ensure effective financial controls, compliance with company policies and accuracy of financial information.

* Provide financial insights and recommendations to Plant and Senior Management to support business and operational decisions.

Requirements

* Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.

* Minimum 8 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with strong exposure to a manufacturing environment.

* Solid experience in plant controlling, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production costing, inventory and variance analysis.

* Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
