Job Description :
Develop, update, and standardize SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), machine parameter sheets, and process flow documentation.
Conduct cycle time studies, manpower studies, and line observations to support process optimization and production capacity planning.
Collect, record, and analyze production data, including cycle time, downtime, rejection rates, yield performance, and machine utilization to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by assisting with process setup, trial runs, material verification, and process validation.
Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues affecting quality, yield, machine stability, and production efficiency.
Liaise with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Mechanical Engineering teams to establish process control methods, inspection standards, and operator working practices.
Monitor and maintain process parameters to ensure process consistency, product quality, and compliance with manufacturing requirements.
Support equipment qualification, process capability studies, and manufacturing readiness evaluations for new products and processes.
Prepare engineering reports, process records, technical documentation, and performance analysis reports.
Maintain engineering databases, including cycle time records, process revisions, machine setup records, and process validation documentation.
Conduct shop floor observations and follow-up activities to ensure SOPs, work instructions, and process requirements are properly implemented and sustained.
Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned by the superior or management.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, and process improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with process documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and process flow charts.
Basic knowledge of production data analysis, cycle time studies, and process optimization techniques.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
Basic understanding of quality control concepts and manufacturing performance indicators such as yield, rejection rate, and downtime.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to travel overseas for training, project activities, customer support, or other business-related assignments when required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Internship experience in manufacturing, production, industrial engineering, or process engineering environments would be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of safety, quality, and manufacturing standards is preferred.
Exposure to production planning, process validation, or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities would be an added advantage.
