Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and coordinating production activities to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and delivered according to customer requirements, production capacity and inventory availability.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders and demand forecast.
- Issue and update production schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor production progress and revise schedules when required.
- Coordinate production capacity to optimise manpower and machine utilisation.
Material & Inventory Coordination
- Work closely with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure raw materials are available according to production schedule.
- Monitor inventory level to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Follow up material shortages and expedite critical items.
Production Monitoring & Reporting
- Track production output against schedule and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Prepare production reports, planning analysis and KPI reports.
- Ensure production targets and delivery timelines are achieved.
Cross Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA and Sales departments for smooth operation flow.
- Support new product introduction and production changes.
- Communicate planning updates and operational issues to management.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse production efficiency and propose improvement actions.
- Support implementation of process improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Manufacturing Management
- Industrial Engineering
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations Management
- Related discipline
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in Production Planning / Manufacturing Planning (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing environment is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP system.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good teamwork and multitasking ability.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
