Location: Kota Damansara, Selangor

Work Arrangement: On-site

Employment Type: Contract – 12 Months (Renewable based on performance)

JOB SCOPE

• Data Ingestion - Design and build scalable pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files, streaming, logs, etc.).
• Data Transformation - Cleanse, transform and enrich data using ETL/ELT processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and business readiness.
• Data Modeling - Design efficient data models and schemas for data warehouses, data lakes and analytical platforms.
• Data Storage & Management - Design, implement and optimize storage solutions including data lakes, warehouse and databases.
• Data Quality & Governance - Implement validation, quality checks, metadata management and data governance best practices.
• Pipeline Orchestration & Automation - Schedule, monitor and automate data workflows using orchestration tools for reliability and performance.
• Performance & Optimization - Tune pipelines, queries and data architectures for performance, scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Monitoring & Reliability - Implement logging, monitoring, alerting and recovery strategies to ensure data reliability.
• Collaboration - Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, backend developers and business stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms and programming.
• Good understanding of databases, SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of data engineering principles, architectures and best practices.
• Passion for working with data and solving complex problems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines using ETL/ELT tools and programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational & NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with big data, data warehouse or data lake solutions.
• Experience with orchestration tools and workflow scheduling.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD is an advantage.
