You will be part of a talented team of engineers and AI researchers focused on making our life easier and the software you create will be used by thousands of people everyday. As an AI engineering intern in WISE AI, you are responsible for building computer vision models that can create value for our clients. This includes all associated areas such as machine learning, deep learning and computer vision.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop existing computer vision algorithms and incorporate novel techniques or create new algorithms from ground up to solve desired use cases
• Develop and adapt advanced computer vision and state-of-the-art deep learning techniques for face recognition, object segmentation detection / classification, optical character recognition, and fraud detection
• Assist in dataset preparation to enhance the models
• Prototype, benchmark and implement new algorithms in production-level code
• Assist in testing and evaluation on the developed solutions by unit test, stress test, etc.
• Help build pipelines to improve model lifecycle management

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in B.S. or M.S. program in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field
• Solid software engineering foundations through prior coursework or experience
• Experience using machine learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.)
• Experience with Python and multiple libraries (NumPy, OpenCV, Pandas, etc.)
• Experience with computer vision algorithms such as segmentation, object detection, etc.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to understand when help is needed and proactively seek it
• Self-learning ability, passion, open-minded and strong teamwork are musts

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with DevOps tools: Docker, Git (GitLab, Github, etc.)
• Familiarity with network/messaging (RESTful API, ZeroMQ, etc.)
• Familiarity with interfacing with databases (SQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with C++, Java, Javascript, mobile development
• Experience with MLOps
