About the role

This is a Human Resources management position responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies and policies aligned with organisational objectives and local employment legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and policies aligned with organisational objectives and local employment legislation

• Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including job analysis, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboarding of new employees

• Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, performance management and disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

• Design and deliver training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and support career progression

• Administer payroll, benefits and compensation programmes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements

• Maintain comprehensive HR records and ensure compliance with data protection and employment laws

• Lead performance management processes and conduct regular reviews to support employee development and organisational goals

• Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes diversity, inclusion and employee engagement

• Provide strategic HR advice to senior management on workforce planning, organisational restructuring and people-related matters

• Liaise with external parties including government agencies, insurance providers and legal advisors as required

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of professional HR experience, with at least 5 years in an HR management role

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws, regulations and best practices in HR management

• Demonstrated expertise in recruitment and talent management, with proven ability to attract and retain high-quality employees

• Excellent knowledge of payroll administration, benefits management and compensation planning

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with employees at all levels

• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities

• Experience in a trading or commercial environment is preferred
