About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control for our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. You will ensure that all engineering, construction, and commissioning activities meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
What you'll be doing
- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and documentation for T&D projects.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and audits on materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Monitor and report on quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, local T&D codes).
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and test procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and QA/QC documentation for all project activities.
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality standards and best practices.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC within Transmission & Distribution projects.
- Strong knowledge of T&D equipment, installation procedures, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with relevant QA/QC standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, IEC, IEEE).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QA/QC software tools.
- Ability to work on-site, including in high-voltage substation and transmission line environments.
- Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) preferred.
