Job SummaryWe are looking for a reliable and hard-working Kitchen Assistant to support our back-of-house operations. In this role, you will not be responsible for cooking the meals. Instead, your primary focus will be supporting the kitchen by preparing ingredients, managing inventory, maintaining extreme cleanliness, and ensuring the cooking team has everything they need to run smoothly.

• Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, slice, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients so they are ready for the cooks.
• Plating & Assembly: Help assemble cold dishes, pack takeaway orders, and arrange food neatly on plates before service.
• Dishwashing & Stewarding: Operate the dishwashing area, washing utensils, pots, pans, and plates efficiently to keep up with café demand.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work environment by wiping down countertops, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash.
• Stock & Inventory: Receive stock deliveries, check for freshness, and organize the chiller, freezer, and dry store neatly.
• Team Support: Work closely with the floor staff and cooks to pass food out quickly to the counter.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Availability: Strictly Monday to Friday shifts only. No weekend work required.
• Education: SPM level or equivalent.
• Experience: No prior experience required; fresh graduates and beginners are welcome. 1 year in kitchen support or stewarding is a plus.
• Legal/Health Regulations: Must have a valid Typhoid Vaccination and a KKM Food Handler Certificate, or be willing to get them before starting.
• Skills: Ability to follow basic instructions, handle physical work, and use standard kitchen tools safely.
• Traits: Dependable, fast-moving, punctual, and a strong team player.

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
