About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join the team at SIRAGA IEM SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Ipoh, Perak. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing and logistics operations, performing precision welding work to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will directly contribute to the production of components and structures that are integral to our business operations and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal components and structures

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy

• Inspect welded joints and components to verify quality standards and structural integrity

• Maintain and operate welding equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition

• Prepare work areas and materials before commencing welding tasks

• Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and targets

• Identify and report any defects or issues with materials or equipment to management

• Keep accurate records of work completed and any relevant documentation

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality control measures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar welding role within the manufacturing sector

• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc welding and semi-automatic welding

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding blueprints accurately

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

• Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices

• Physical ability to perform manual welding work, including standing for extended periods and working in various positions

• Valid welding certification or qualifications (such as AWS & WQT certification or equivalent) is highly desirable

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills and reliability

• Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
