Role Description The Ramp Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This role involves supporting ground operations for aircraft, including safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and ground support equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include marshalling aircraft, operating towing and loading equipment, conducting visual inspections of ramp areas, and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures. Ramp Staff also coordinate closely with flight operations, maintenance teams, and ground handling personnel to maintain on-time performance and orderly turnaround of aircraft. The role requires strict adherence to operational standards, clear communication, and consistent attention to safety, quality, and service.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of aviation ground operations, including aircraft marshalling, baggage and cargo handling, and ramp safety procedures.
• Ability to operate ground support equipment (such as tugs, belt loaders, and dollies) and follow standard operating procedures for equipment use and maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety, security, and emergency protocols in airport environments, with a commitment to safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with flight crew, ground handling teams, and other airport stakeholders.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual handling tasks, work in outdoor conditions, and manage shift-based schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage time-critical tasks, maintain accurate records, and support on-time departures.
• Minimum secondary school education (or equivalent); vocational training in aviation, logistics, or related fields is an advantage.
• Willingness to undergo relevant ramp safety, equipment handling, and airport operations training provided or endorsed by AME TRAINING ACADEMY.
• Ability to comply with airport security requirements, including background checks and issuance of airside access passes.
