Develop, maintain, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 to ensure timely project delivery and accurate progress tracking.
Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements, project execution plans, reporting obligations, and client deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Establish and maintain consistent planning standards, scheduling methodologies, and reporting practices across all assigned projects.
Prepare and present comprehensive project control reports including Critical Path Analysis, milestone movement tracking, Schedule Variance Reports, S-Curves, recovery plans, and management dashboards.
Analyze schedule and performance data to identify trends, delays, risks, and potential issues; collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
Support tender and bid submission activities by developing baseline project schedules, resource-loaded programmes, execution strategies, and planning deliverables required for tender submissions.
Develop, update, and interpret S-Curves from inception, providing meaningful analysis and commentary linked to project progress, productivity trends, and schedule performance.
Lead schedule risk and opportunity assessments, evaluate schedule impacts, conduct what-if analysis, and recommend mitigation measures to minimize delays.
Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports and presentations for senior management, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Manage Extension of Time (EOT) claims by assessing project delays beyond contractor control, analyzing entitlement, and preparing supporting schedule documentation.
Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between project execution and schedule objectives.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior planners and project team members to strengthen planning capability within the organization.
What You Bring:
Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or construction management within infrastructure, commercial, industrial, residential, or large-scale construction projects.
Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6, and/or Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule risk analysis, and project controls methodologies.
Proven ability to develop, analyze, and interpret S-Curves, resource histograms, productivity trends, and project forecasting metrics.
Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement schedules, project sequencing, and contract administration.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor junior staff and drive planning best practices across projects.
