Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and experienced Accounting Executive to manage the company’s daily accounting and financial activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring timely completion of accounting transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full set of accounts and day-to-day accounting operations.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, credit notes, debit notes, payment vouchers, and receipts.
- Perform accurate accounting data entry and maintain proper financial records.
- Verify invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and collection status.
- Follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments.
- Process supplier payments and monitor supplier outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.
- Assist with audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, customers, suppliers, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure accounting transactions comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in cash flow planning.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
- Assist management in financial analysis and other accounting-related matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Preferably min. 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in full set accounting is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounting software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively with different departments in a logistics/freight forwarding environment.
