We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Executive (Junior role) to join our newly formed dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing finance processes for our existing and emerging e-commerce ventures. Key Responsibilities
1. Account Payables
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payment vouchers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, supporting documents, and approval workflows before processing payments.
- Manage accounts payable functions for multiple entities within the group.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payment schedules and ensure timely payments to local and overseas suppliers.
- Handle overseas vendor payments, including foreign currency transactions and bank remittances.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and follow up on outstanding issues with suppliers.
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia e-Invoice requirements and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of e-Invoice processes and controls.
- Liaise with internal departments, including Procurement, Operations, Warehouse, to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and AP schedules.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in external audit, tax, and other compliance matters.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance AP efficiency and internal controls.
2. Accounts Receivable / General Ledger
- Execute core finance tasks, including billings, journal postings, reconciliations, and managing system-to-gateway reconciliations for e-commerce platforms.
- Assist in managing e-commerce accounts across multiple platforms.
- Conduct account reconciliation, including verifying orders, payments, and settlement reports.
- Perform month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accurate journal entries and timely accruals of costs and revenues.
- Ensure accurate and timely intercompany transactions and reconciliations in accordance with contractual terms, finance policies and procedures.
- Review, streamline, and optimize finance processes for both B2C and B2B e-commerce operations.
- Collaborate with business teams and the Finance team to ensure compliance with company finance policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory considerations for e-commerce initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy (or equivalent).
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance (Fresh graduates are welcome).
- Basic understanding of e-commerce operations and online marketplace platforms is more advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and basic data analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Autocount/SQL),enabling efficient financial management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-driven, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills.
- Positive "can-do" attitude with the ability to multitask and remain resilient under pressure.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
