Role Description

• Handle purchasing for local and imported (F&B).
• Liaise and negotiate with local & International suppliers (F&B).
• Prepare and process purchase orders.
• Coordinate import and export shipments with forwarders.
• Handle import and export documents and customs clearance.
• Monitor shipment status and delivery timeline.
• Coordinate with warehouse on stock planning.
• Maintain proper purchasing and shipment records.
• Export shipment would be added advantage.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Coordinate import shipments with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and other import/export documents.
• Track shipment status and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery.
• Work closely with the Warehouse, Sales, and Production teams to ensure sufficient stock levels.
• Resolve purchasing, shipment, and supplier-related issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and shipping records.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or import and export.
• Mandarin-speaking is mandatory due to business requirements, as the role involves frequent communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and business partners.
• Familiar with import and export procedures and documentation.
• Experience dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Email).
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience dealing with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders is an advantage.
