Position Overview

The Digital Technology Executive is responsible for developing and improving the company’s digital systems through software development, AI-assisted coding, automation, systems integration, data management and technology support.

The role requires a hands-on individual who can understand business requirements, translate them into practical digital solutions and use modern AI tools to accelerate development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and improve internal web applications, digital tools and business systems.

- Translate business requirements and operational workflows into practical digital solutions.

- Use AI-assisted coding tools to develop, review, test, debug and improve software applications.

- Identify manual and repetitive processes suitable for digitalisation and automation.

- Develop workflow automation, notifications, approvals, reporting and data-processing solutions.

- Integrate internal and third-party platforms using APIs, webhooks and other integration methods.

- Design and maintain databases, dashboards and management reporting systems.

- Explore and implement practical AI applications, including AI assistants, knowledge systems, analytics and intelligent workflows.

- Manage source code, version control, application deployment, backups and basic cloud infrastructure.

- Support system security, user access, permissions and data protection.

- Provide basic IT systems support and coordinate with external technology vendors when required.

- Maintain technical documentation, system SOPs and technology records.

- Continuously evaluate new technologies that can improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related fields.

- Candidates with strong practical experience or technical portfolios may also be considered.

Technical Skills

Working knowledge in several of the following areas:

- Web application development

- JavaScript / TypeScript, Python or similar languages

- React, Next.js, Node.js or equivalent frameworks

- SQL and relational databases

- REST APIs and system integration

- Git and GitHub

- Cloud deployment

- AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, Cursor or GitHub Copilot

- Workflow automation tools

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
