HIRING – RETAIL SUPERVISOR

Location: Cyberjaya
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site

Bakez Grocer is looking for an experienced and hands-on Retail Supervisor to lead our store operations and build a high-performing retail team.

You will play a key role in driving sales, leading the team, delivering excellent customer experiences, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the store.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Operations & Sales

• Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
• Lead the team in achieving daily, monthly, and overall sales targets.
• Monitor store performance, sales results, and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
• Analyse sales trends and customer purchasing behaviour to identify sales opportunities.
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal activities, and marketing initiatives to maximise sales.
• Ensure company procedures and operational standards are consistently followed.

Customer Experience

• Lead the team in delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience.
• Ensure staff have strong product knowledge and can confidently recommend baking ingredients, packaging products, baking tools, and related products.
• Handle and resolve customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and service standards.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the retail team.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and leave applications.
• Conduct on-the-job training and coaching on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance for improvement.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, disciplined, and performance-driven workplace culture.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock ordering and replenishment.
• Ensure sufficient stock availability for fast-moving and key products.
• Oversee stock receiving, stock transfers, stock counts, and inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock rotation (FIFO), product quality, and expiry dates.
• Minimise stock losses, damages, and wastage.
• Ensure products are correctly priced, well-stocked, and attractively displayed according to company standards.

Cash & Administration

• Oversee cashier operations and ensure accurate handling of cash and cashless transactions.
• Monitor daily cash reconciliation and sales reporting.
• Maintain accurate sales, inventory, staff, and operational records.
• Ensure proper handling of store documents and administrative matters.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal control procedures.

Store Standards & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organised, safe, and hygienic retail environment.
• Ensure the team follows food handling, workplace safety, and operational requirements.
• Conduct regular checks on store cleanliness, product displays, pricing, and overall store standards.
• Keep the team updated on new products, promotions, company policies, and operational changes.
• Ensure consistent execution of company standards across the store.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or higher qualification in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail operations, retail supervision, or a similar customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with a positive, proactive, and hands-on attitude.
• Confident in leading, coaching, and developing a retail team.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of store operations.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and POS systems.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends & public holidays when required.
• Experience in retail, supermarket, bakery supply, FMCG, hospitality, aviation, or hotel operations will be an added advantage.
