Role Description The Business Development Executive role is a full-time hybrid position based in Petaling Jaya, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, including researching target markets, generating leads, and qualifying prospects. The Business Development Executive will conduct presentations and product demonstrations, build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, and collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs. Daily activities include managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals, negotiating commercial terms within defined guidelines, and ensuring accurate documentation in CRM systems. The role also involves monitoring market trends, providing feedback to improve offerings, and supporting account management efforts to drive customer retention and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, opportunity qualification, and pipeline management.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Business and Account Management, such as client relationship building, cross-selling, and upselling.
• Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex solutions in an accessible way.
• Relevant experience in B2B sales, business development, or financial services, ideally within data, analytics, or technology-driven solutions.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using CRM tools and basic data analysis to inform sales activities.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with credit reporting, risk management, or fintech is an advantage.
