Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Human Resources Manager to support the HR Manager in managing the full spectrum of HR operations, with a strong focus on recruitment, foreign-worker management, employee relations, payroll accuracy and labour-law compliance.

Job Summary

Support full-spectrum HR operations covering recruitment, foreign workers, employee relations, payroll, training and labour-law compliance in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manpower planning, recruitment, hiring and onboarding activities across the company’s facilities.
  • Assist in preparing departmental KPIs, HR data, reports and annual budgets.
  • Coordinate training-needs analysis, internal and external training programmes, records and audit documentation.
  • Manage foreign-worker accommodation and hostel operations, including facilities, discipline, 6S practices, audits and compliance with the Workers’ Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990, commonly known as Act 446.
  • Support foreign-worker recruitment, onboarding, documentation and welfare.
  • Ensure employee welfare, compensation and HR improvement initiatives are managed effectively.
  • Review salary calculations and ensure payroll information is accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws covering working hours, overtime, rest days and public holidays.
  • Review and update HR policies, the Employee Handbook and ISO-related HR documentation.
  • Manage employee grievances, counselling, workplace conflicts, retention initiatives and employee-relations matters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, employee data and management reports.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of general HR experience.
  • At least 2 years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience recruiting, onboarding and managing foreign workers.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and industrial relations.
  • Experience in payroll, employee relations, training, hostel management and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Able to handle confidential matters professionally and work independently.
  • Willing to work in Cheras.
  • Proficiency in additional languages would be an advantage when communicating with a diverse workforce and regional stakeholders.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
