Job Description
As a Learning Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they can access and succeed in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. You will work closely with classroom teachers, students, and families to provide tailored strategies and interventions that promote student growth in both academic and personal development.

Responsibilities
You will generally be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Provide targeted learning support to students with identified learning needs across various subjects
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement differentiated instruction and accommodations
• Assist in the development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and monitor student progress
• Participate in student support meetings and contribute to the identification and assessment of student needs
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
• Offer students guidance in developing effective study skills, organisation, and self-management strategies
• Support students' development of the IB Learner Profile attributes
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Participate in regular duties and contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided
• Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the school’s inclusive practices and policies

Requirements

• Possess a university degree, preferably in Special Education or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualified teaching experience, ideally with students requiring learning support
• Strong knowledge and experience supporting students in an inclusive classroom environment
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion
• Familiarity with IB programmes is an advantage
• Willingness to work at Sierramas, Sungai Buloh
