Operations Manager(Data Centre Operations)

Salary: RM16,000 – RM18,000 + RM1,000 Fixed Allowance
Location: Sedenak, Johor
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operation Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a mission-critical data centre. The ideal candidate will oversee critical engineering infrastructure, ensure maximum uptime, manage a 24/7 operations team, and maintain compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Critical Facilities team.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, fire protection systems, Building Management System (BMS), and other critical infrastructure.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide technical leadership during critical incidents.
• Oversee Command Centre operations, including monitoring, incident, problem, and change management.
• Ensure all customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved.
• Develop, review, and implement MOP, SOP, and EOP documentation.
• Ensure Change Management processes, including CRFs, Work Method Statements, and LOTO procedures, are fully complied with.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, certifications, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with EHS, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient facility operations.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules, annual planning, infrastructure upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, and compliance records.
• Prepare customer reports and operational updates within agreed timelines.
• Train and develop Critical Facility Management (CFM) teams and vendors.
• Provide emergency support outside office hours and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation when required.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence across the data centre.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data centre, critical facility, or mission-critical infrastructure operations.
• CDCP or CDFOM certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Critical Electrical & Mechanical Systems
• Building Management System (BMS)
• CMMS / DCIM
• ERP Systems
• Microsoft Excel, Word & Power BI
• Experience leading 24/7 critical operations teams.
• Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to provide emergency support after office hours, on weekends, and public holidays when required.
