Role Description The Event Booth Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for conceptualizing and designing event booths and related visual elements that align with clients’ branding, objectives, and budget. Day-to-day tasks include developing booth layouts, creating 2D and 3D design mockups, preparing technical drawings for production, and collaborating with project managers, fabricators, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and quality. The designer will attend on-site setups, supervise booth installation to confirm design accuracy, and make real-time adjustments as needed. The role also involves researching design trends, materials, and technologies to enhance booth functionality and visitor engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong visual design skills, including spatial layout, color theory, and typography, with the ability to translate brand guidelines into compelling booth concepts.
• Proficiency in design and visualization software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar 2D/3D tools) for creating detailed plans and presentations.
• Experience in event, exhibition, retail, or interior design, including knowledge of materials, structures, and production processes relevant to booth fabrication.
• Solid project coordination skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design projects under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, sales teams, project managers, and on-site installation crews.
• Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, including occasional evenings or weekends during event setup and teardown periods.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Portfolio demonstrating booth, exhibition, event, or spatial design work; experience with brand activations or trade shows is an advantage.
