Mechanical background is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- 2D Drafting & Schematics (CAD/SolidWorks): Prepare, update, and detail Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometrics and structural connection details.
- 3D Equipment & Skid Modeling (CAD/SolidWorks): Develop parametric 3D models and sub-assemblies for offshore skids and structural frames.
- Clash Detection & Integration: Perform 3D space management and clash checks within CAD/SolidWorks assemblies to ensure seamless interface between mechanical equipment, piping, and structural components prior to fabrication.
- As-Built & Redline Updates: Convert redline markups, site survey notes from fabrication yards or offshore platforms into final As-Built drawings.
- BOM & MTO Generation: Extract accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO) directly from CAD drawings and SolidWorks models for procurement.
- Standards Compliance: Apply offshore engineering drafting standards, project spec requirements, and international codes (ASME, API, AWS, DNV) across all deliverables.
- Project Execution & Planning: Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring offshore engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Technical Coordination: Coordinate cross-functional activities between clients, sub-contractors, procurement teams, and offshore fabrication yards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare method statements, technical reports, material take-offs (MTO), risk assessments (JRA/HIRA), and daily/weekly project progress reports.
- Compliance & QA/QC: Ensure all engineering deliverables and offshore structures/equipment comply with statutory Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and international oil & gas standards.
- Tendering & Procurement Support: Assist in drafting technical specifications, compiling bid packages, and evaluating vendor quotations for long-lead equipment and materials.
Technical & Qualification Requirements
- Software Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting, dynamic blocks, xrefs) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, Weldments, Sheet Metal, Large Assembly management).
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of drafting experience in oil & gas, specifically with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or offshore skid design.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering calculations, piping specifications, weld symbols, and stress analysis inputs.
