About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist Unix Engineer (Solaris & AIX) to join our GS‑TF DC & BI team in an agile environment.

You will act as the principal technical authority for our IBM AIX (on IBM Power) and Oracle Solaris (SPARC / x86) platforms. In this role, you will develop and implement the digital strategy and future‑oriented architecture for the Unix estate, own the automation and Everything‑as‑Code direction, and lead modernization, migration and consolidation initiatives. You will combine deep technical expertise with a creative, agile and digital mindset, working autonomously in cross‑functional teams and continuously adapting the platform to changing business and regulatory needs.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and implement the Unix platform strategy and architecture for AIX and Solaris, including HA/DR (PowerHA, Solaris Cluster)
• Build and maintain automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Ansible Automation Platform, Git and CI/CD practices
• Plan, deploy and optimize AIX and Solaris servers in production, ensuring performance, stability, security and compliance
• Lead and support modernization, migration and consolidation projects, sharing knowledge and mentoring other engineers

What you bring

• Hands‑on Unix experience with AIX and Solaris, including LPAR/VIO, Zones, ZFS and SAN storage
• Proven expertise in automation and scripting (Ansible, shell, preferably Python) and applying SDLC/CI/CD to infrastructure
• Strong background in Unix security and identity & access management (LDAP, Kerberos, IAM, patching, SIEM/PAM)
• Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent experience, plus strong analytical, collaborative and technical‑leadership skills in agile teams
