An Assistant Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful completion of projects. In addition, the candidate must be willing to relocate to our project site in Johor. The following are the core responsibilities of the role.
1. Strategic Planning & Initiation
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and constraints.
- Develop a project plan including timeline, resources, and risk management.
- Secure required resources such as budget, personnel, and equipment.
- Establish project governance including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structure.
2. Project Execution & Control
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the project plan.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues.
- Facilitate effective teamwork and communication within the project team.
- Control project scope to ensure work stays within approved boundaries.
- Monitor and manage the project budget.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Identify key stakeholders involved in or affected by the project.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and manage their expectations.
4. Project Closure
- Evaluate project performance and document lessons learned.
- Complete all project documentation and obtain formal project acceptance.
- Ensure proper handover of project deliverables to relevant parties.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience : 2 – 3 years experience in constructions field
Skills : Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, primavera) & Strong understanding of project management methodologies
