Hiring: Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Airline Operational Systems)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Airline Operational Systems) to join our team at KLIA, Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)

Work Arrangement: Onsite (Work From Office)

Location KLIA, 64000 Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia

Working Hours: Malaysian Office Hourse

Availability: Immediate joiners preferred

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Airline Operational Systems)
• Strong domain knowledge of airline and airport operational systems, including reservation systems, flight operations, ground handling, passenger check-in, and ticketing.
• Extensive experience integrating with Navitaire solutions (New Skies and/or Open Skies), including reservation, inventory, ancillary services, and payment gateway APIs.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience building scalable backend applications and APIs using JavaScript (Node.js) or C# (.NET).
• Experience developing responsive, mobile-first web applications.
• Strong experience designing and implementing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services to build reliable, scalable, and high-performing applications.
• Proficiency with modern development frameworks such as Node.js, React, Angular, and .NET.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, version control, testing, build processes, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of secure third-party integrations using RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience with Kong API Gateway is an advantage.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
• Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mentor software engineers and provide technical guidance to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Develop high-quality applications by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Promote and drive Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices across development projects.
• Collaborate closely with the QA team to implement and enhance automated testing capabilities.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline code analysis, reviews, testing, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, refactor, and optimize applications while automating repetitive development tasks.
• Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and performance are incorporated into every development decision.
• Create and maintain technical documentation while sharing knowledge across the engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable software solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence and promote software development best practices throughout the organization.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that benefit the engineering team.
