Tangkak Kopitiam is looking for friendly, attentive, and customer-focused Restaurant Waiters to join our front-of-house team. As the face of our restaurant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking accurate orders, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant and memorable dining experience.

Location: Highlands Hotel, Genting Highland

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a warm and professional manner.

• Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages.

• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.

• Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the meal.

• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area.

• Handle customer inquiries, requests, or complaints with patience and professionalism.

• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.

• Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety regulations at all times.

• Assist in daily opening and closing duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or café setting is preferred but not mandatory.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

• Friendly, polite, and customer-oriented attitude.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tables efficiently.

• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

• Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
