We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of interior design and fit-out projects from concept to completion. This role involves coordinating project activities, liaising with consultants, contractors, and clients, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with design intent, quality standards, and company compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager/Director in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all phases of interior fit-out projects, from design development, authority approvals, procurement, construction to final handover

Coordinate and participate in project meetings; track progress and ensure timely resolution of issues

Monitor the performance of consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements

Ensure adherence to project scope, budget, quality standards, safety regulations, and risk management practices

Liaise with local authorities and relevant agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits

Support site coordination and supervise on-site activities to ensure smooth execution of works

Maintain proper documentation, including ISO-related documents, drawings, specifications, site and safety reports, and handover records

Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including providing translation support where required

Travel to project sites, including outstation or East Malaysia, when necessary

Ensure all responsibilities and project activities are carried out in compliance with ISO standards, company protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field

5–7 years of relevant experience in interior design, fit-out, or construction projects

Good understanding of Malaysian building regulations, authority approvals, and HSE requirements

Experience in project coordination, documentation, and site supervision

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage

Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines

Willingness to travel as required
