The Role: Logistics Executive

The Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating transportation and delivery operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of goods. This role oversees logistics planning, monitors fleet and delivery performance, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with internal teams, customers, and external service providers to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Coordinate daily deliveries, collections, and transportation schedules to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Monitor delivery progress and ensure goods are delivered accurately and on time.
• Liaise with warehouse personnel, drivers, customers, transport providers, and suppliers to coordinate shipment arrangements.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain delivery orders, shipping documents, transportation records, and logistics documentation.
• Monitor lorry utilisation, delivery performance, vehicle maintenance schedules, and driver allocations to maximise operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports for management review.
• Monitor logistics KPIs, including delivery performance, pallets loaded, lorry utilisation, maintenance records, driver allowances, trip summaries, and workers' attendance and working hours.
• Analyse logistics data and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Investigate delivery delays, shipment discrepancies, and logistics-related issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and service quality.
• Ensure logistics and transportation activities comply with company procedures, safety requirements, and operational standards.
• Maintain effective working relationships with transporters, suppliers, and other external service providers.
• Practise good housekeeping (5S) and comply with all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Logistics Manager or Management.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• Good understanding of transportation planning, fleet coordination, shipping documentation, and logistics processes.
• Experience working with ERP, Warehouse Management System (WMS), or logistics management systems will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Able to work independently, prioritise multiple tasks, and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
